Salman Khan allots bulk dates for Sooraj Barjatiya’s next film

Mumbai: Salman Khan has allotted a total of 180 days at a stretch for Sooraj Barjatiya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, making it the maximum number of days he has allotted to any director. The two will come together after 15 years.

His recent films such as Jai Ho and Dabangg 2 were wrapped up in less than 90 days. So why did Salman make an exception for Sooraj? An insider revealed, “Salman is aware that if Sooraj is asking for more days, he has reasons behind it. He is happy to invest that trust in his director. Salman is aware that Sooraj’s set up is lavish and he is shooting the film on a huge canvas. They have had a series of discussions and have locked a slot at the end of July for the film to go on floors.”

The film will have nine songs composed by Himesh Reshammiya, all of which will have been briefed to be “melodious” by Sooraj. As a Rajshri films’ trademark, Salman’s character will be called Prem even in this one.
