No Maoists in Telangana, says minister
Hyderabad: Telangana home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Thursday said that there were no Maoists in the state. Mr Narasimha Reddy took charge as home minister at the D Block in Secretariat on Thursday.
Replying to a query on Maoists, Mr Reddy said, “There are no Maoists in the state.” Mr Reddy said the police would coordinate with AP, Maharashtra and Chattisgarh to tackle internal security problems. “Traffic management will be modernised in Hyderabad. We will improve the traffic infrastructure,” he added.
The CC camera project will be taken up further. We will also try to keep the promises made by KCR regarding police welfare," he said.
"We will not compromise on law and order. We will give protection to people of all regions and communities. The home department will ensure peace," Mr Reddy added.
