Mumbai: While Mohit Suri has been busy with his Sidharth Malhotra-starrer, The Villain, he also took some time off to guide his cousin Karan Darra, who is making his directorial debut with Mahesh Bhatt’s production Khamoshiyaan.

Karan has been touring Kashmir since the past 5-6 months looking for locations for his film. Our sources say that the debutant director intends to showcase Kashmir like it’s never been seen before and has earmarked a few unexplored locations where he wants to start shooting. Before he starts with that schedule of his project, however, he has been working hard in a studio in Mumbai — with a little help from Mohit.

“Mohit himself is very caught up with the promotions for The Villain, but he has ensured that he passes on whatever help he can to Karan,” a source close to the cousins told us. “Since Karan is family, Mohit ensured that he was present on the first day of his film’s shooting.”
