Pranab Mukherjee will swear Kamal Nath as protem Speaker on Wednesday

New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee will address the joint session of Parliament on Monday and the next two days both Houses will have a debate on Motion of Thanks to the President’s address.
Parliamentary affairs minister M. Venkaiah Naidu clarified that the swearingin of Mr Nath was necessary, as the House cannot be convened without any presiding officer.
President Pranab Mukherjee will swear in Mr Nath as protem Speaker on Wednesday morning.
The Rajya Sabha will convene on Monday next for President’s address. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply to the debate on Motion of Thanks on Wednesday next in both Houses of Parliament.
