I am really a ‘national embarrassment’ while dancing on TV: Karan Johar

Mumbai: While Madhuri Dixit Nene and Remo are sporting new looks for this season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, the third judge of the reality dance show, Karan Johar, has stuck to his black suit.

About his staid look, Karan says, “The channel guys have really not bothered to give me a fresh look. They have instead concentrated on the looks of Remo and Madhuri. However, I am satisfied with my simple looks. I have been paid to be a judge, so I have to be competent.”

He further adds, “This time we are going to be strict with our judging. I am going to keep a buzzer termed the ‘Lie-o-meter’ which will buzz immediately if a contestant showers praises on the judges. We are not going to allow them to butter up the judges. We will judge them sternly. This time in JDJ it will be tough to get a 10 on 10 unless the contestant really deserves it.”

“I am not going to shake a leg this time on JDJ”,” he says, adding, “I am really a ‘national embarrassment’ while dancing on TV. I will thus try out my other talent… singing (laughs).”

The 13 celebrity contestants of JDJ this season are Purab Kohli, Andy, Sukhwinder Singh, Karan Tacker, Sophie Chaudhary, Kritika Kamra, Mouni Roy, Sreesanth, Puja Bose, Palak (Kiku Sharda), Shakti Mohan, Akshat and Ashish Sharma.
