Actress Aishwarya: From rural to glam avatar

This village beauty turns urban in Thirudan Police

Chennai: Aishwarya of Pannaiyarum Padminiyum fame is happy with the way her career is shaping up. Ever since she was roped in for Seenu Ramasamy’s Idam Porul Eval, to replace Manisha Yadav, who initially signed for the film, she has been flooded with offers.

This village beauty turns urban in her next film, Thirudan Police, in which she pairs opposite Attakathi Dinesh. “For the first time, I will play a modern girl, the daughter of a police officer,” she says.

“It’s not a bubbly or happy-go-lucky role. I play a very subtle, disciplined and responsible girl in the film, which is a complete commercial entertainer. My co-star Dinesh has performed well too. We are yet to shoot one song in Chennai, a Western number, which will show a new Chennai to the audience.”

Aishwarya had a tough time shooting a particular scene in which she was supposed to ride a bike with a camera fixed to the handle bar. “Well, I am a poor rider, and it was the only scene in which I struggled a lot. After the entire team was ready for the shot, I revealed the secret of my bad experience, riding bikes. Then somehow, I learnt it, and the scene has come out really well,” she says.

They are currently shooting for Idam Porul Eval in Madurai. “I pair opposite Vishnu in the film. I can’t reveal more about my character as it’s too early. It’s definitely a challenging role to perform,” she adds.
