Hyderabad: New Telangana Genco and Telengana Transco offices have become operational from Monday in the same head office, but with obvious physical separation of office. TGenco employees officially joined from June 2 but will continue working from their previous workplaces. TTransco also became operational technically from Monday, but without any physical movement of the office or employees. Telangana RTA began operations from the 1st floor of Transport Bhavan and Telangana State Road Transport Corporation from B Block of Bus Bhavan. Division of RTC employees is yet to take place.
Division of Generation Corporation is complete as per the government order issued ahead of the bifurcation. Accordingly, functions, posts and staff have been transferred to the newly created generation company. Telangana Transmission Company, was operational on paper from Monday. But, the physical division of staff and other modalities is yet to be completed. The new offices will be operational from the same floor on different sides within the next few days.
Functions of the AP Genco and Transco in Telangana shall stand transferred to Telangana Genco. All power generation plants of T-region shall be transferred to Telangana Genco.
The RTA, on the other hand, will not make any new registrations in the next 10 days as a formal approval of the new series initials is to come from Centre.
