Won’t shift to Mumbai: A R Murugadoss
Mumbai: A.R. Murugadoss, who started the trend of Rs100-crore films with Ghajini, is now gearing up for the release of his next film Holiday.
Talking about the super success of Ghajini, he says, “I think it was the right script that worked for Ghajini.”
Down South, Murugadoss is a big name with a series of Tamil blockbusters in his folio. The director, who loves variety, hopes to be able to strike a good balance between Tamil and Hindi cinema. So would he like to shift base to Mumbai like his counterpart Prabhu Deva?
“Not really. Tamil films have given me fame and money. Yes, I do want to make more Hindi films. I want to learn Hindi, but my commitment to Tamil cinema will remain. I’ll keep coming to Mumbai but I don’t think I’ll ever shift base to Mumbai.”
