Kolkata: Shah Rukh's entry for the felicitation ceromeny at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, was delayed thanks to the technical snag his flight had on his way from Mumbai. Mamata Banerjee cut short her North Bengal tour for a couple of hours to be a part of the ceremony.
Inside the stadium, singer Usha Uthup entertained the crowd, which also was in full attendance with the entire film industry of Kolkata. Every player of KKR were individually called and given their rewards. The cake cutting ceremony was delayed as Khan was still on his way. The size of the cake was massive with the shape of Eden Gardens. As soon as the Shah Rukh arrived at the stadium, he was welcomed with a huge roar.
At the felicitation ceremony he said, " I don't think any other country, any other state support their team so much. Keep supporting us Kolkata. I am grateful for your support. Mamata Di, you have made us feel this is our home. Thank you very much for the support. Thank you very much the CAB, Kolkata police... We hope to keep coming here every year. Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo re!"
He was accompanied by Juhi Chawla and they along with the players took a victory lap.
