Two BSP MLAs join TRS

Two BSP MLAs from Adilabad met KCR and announced their entry in TRS

Hyderabad: On the eve of formation of Telangana state, TRS president and Chief Minister-designate K. Chandrasekhar Rao got a shot in the arm. Two Bahujan Samaj Party MLAs elected from Adilabad on Sunday evening met KCR and announced merger of them in TRS.

A. Indrakaran Reddy, former Adilabad MP, zilla parishad chairman, now elected on BSP ticket from Nirmal, and his friend and former MLA Koneru Konappa who was elected from Sirpur Assembly segment, have joined TRS increasing it strength from 63 to 65 in the house of 119.

“Everyone knew that we fought for separate Telangana state and I was the first signatory being Congress MLA in 1999, in the memorandum submitted by 41 Congress legislators to AICC president Sonia gandhi in year 2000. It is very happy for us to join the TRS which fought for separate state and finally achieved it. We have decided to merge our BSP legislature party in TRS since we believe KCR can alone develop Telangana into Golden Telangana,” said Indrakaran Reddy.

Replying to a question on whether he will be accommodated in KCR cabinet or not Mr Reddy said, “It is the prerogative of KCR to include us or not. We are interested in Adilabad’s development”. BSP national president Mayawati was informed about their decision.
