Works for Chandrababu Naidu’s swearing in ceremony take off
Hyderabad: Invitations to Chandrababu Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony will be sent out to guests from Monday by the Andhra Pradesh state government. Mr Naidu on Sunday discussed details of the arrangements being made at Nagarjuna University, the venue of the swearing in ceremony on June 8.
Mr Naidu asked officials to send VIP invitations from Monday so as to make appropriate arrangements for accommodation of VIPs.
Meanwhile, Union civil aviation Minister P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju and former MP Kambhampati Rammohan Rao on Saturday met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to extend the invitation. The Odisha Chief Minister has confirmed his attendance at the function.
TD expects many VIPs of the stature of chief ministers, Union ministers and national leaders at the function.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao who visited the venue to review the arrangements informed Chandrababu of the ongoing arrangements. Senior TD leaders from Krishna and Guntur districts are working round the clock to ensure all goes as planned.
TD, which expects a crowd of 5lakh, is leaving no stone unturned to make the function a grand success.
The time fixed for the swearing-in ceremony earlier (11.45 am) has now been changed to the evening of June 8 for the convenience of the public after the meeting held by Chandrababu with leaders of Krishna and Guntur districts two days ago.
Mr Naidu will be sworn in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh at 7.21 pm on June 8.
