Hyderabad: The new film, Shyam Gopal Varma (SGV) is touted as a spoof of popular director Ram Gopal Varma. Shafi and Zoya Khan are the lead characters in the film which has been directed by Rakesh Srinivas.

The subject of SGV revolves around a director who makes violent films. “The story is about how the director’s life ends after making many films,” says Rakesh, adding that the film is a satirical crime comedy and does not target anybody.

The film’s shooting is now complete and it is in post-production stage. “We are planning to release the audio soon and are scheduling the film’s release in July,” add Rakesh Srinivas and Vijay Kumar, the producers of the film.
