Telangana birthday bash to start on June 1
Hyderabad: The celebrations on June 2, the Formation Day of the new Telangana state, will be historic. TRS leaders and the party cadre, besides several Telangana organisations, have planned mega celebrations to mark Formation Day. Celebrations will start from the night of June 1 and will through the next day.
While CM-designate K. Chandrasekhar Rao was busy on Thursday finalising his Cabinet and key posts in the government, chief secretary, P.K. Mohanty, director general of police B. Prasada Rao and senior officials finalised the plans for the celebrations at Parade Grounds on June 2 at 10.45 am.
Mr Rao, the first CM of Telangana, will be given a ceremonial reception at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad after the swearing-in function at Raj Bhavan. “After the CM’s swearing-in ceremony, there will be Telangana Formation Day celebrations and a ceremonial marchpast for him at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad. We are making necessary arrangements for the same,” the DGP said.
