Mumbai: Ekta Kapoor has always been known for standing by her friends, personally and professionally. For the longest time there were rumours about a fall-out between Ekta and her protégé Prachi Desai. But finally they were put to rest, with Prachi bagging an item number in Balaji’s upcoming film Ek Villain.
Word is that shooting the item number turned out to be a nightmare for director Mohit Suri. It seems Mohit wanted a certain look for Prachi and he had already briefed the choreographer and the stylists about it.
According to the unit members, Prachi wasn’t too happy about the look and therefore made last minute changes without the director’s consent.
“There was some discomfort between Prachi and Mohit because she had taken a call without keeping the team in the loop. But the matter was sorted after Ekta intervened,” says a unit member.
Not wanting to ruffle any feathers, Ekta took charge of the situation and asked the stylists to work out a look taking into account the inputs of both Mohit and Prachi.
That’s what’s called a masterstroke.
