40 temples across Karnataka now accesible for online darshanam
Mysore: When everything is available online in an era of Computers, why not the sevas of Gods?
At least 40 major temples in seven districts of the State are now easily accessible to devotees from across the Globe and one need not travel all the way, to fulfill their vows (Harike) to God or seek blessings.
They can now do it at the click of a mouse. The Muzrai department has launched the E-seva facility through the regional commissioner’s office here, for temples in Mysore, Mandya, Chamarajnagar, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Hassan and Udupi districts.
All one need to do is visit temple websites, transfer cash online for e-seva, provide the details of one’s birth star and zodiac sign and the chosen seva to God will be extended on the day they wish to do it. They will even get the Kumkuma Prasada through post. The rates charged for these sevas at temples will be applicable to online sevas too, sources said.
While the e-sevas for Sri Chamundeswari at Sri Chamundeswari temple in Chamundi hills and Sri Srikanteswara swamy at Srikanteswara temple at Nanjangud were launched a year ago, the e-sevas have been extended to two more major temples including Sri Vaidyanatheswara Swamy temple.
