Hyderabad: It is common knowledge that actress Nayanthara had converted to Hinduism three years ago through the Shuddhi Karma ‘process’ at the Arya Samaj in Chennai.
Despite the original name of Diana Mariam Kurian, the star was popularly known by her screen name Nayanthara. Later, the Billa girl announced that it was her own decision to change the religion.
Now, what we hear that the actress is keen to follow Hinduism and is now spiritually inclined to pursue the religion further. She’s probably, taking cue from actor Rajinikanth, with whom she also shares a good rapport.
The latest buzz is that Nayan recently visited the Himalayas, and several other temples. Sources added that Nayan, who is currently in a comeback mode in Tamil, took a break while shooting in Dehradun and visited holy sites like Lakshman Jhula, Saptarishi Ashram, Neelakanth Mahadev, etc among others.
The actress was also spotted with a saffron scarf and rudraksha around her neck. The actress had said earlier that the trips were more for some “mental peace”.
