N Srinivasan chairs Asian cricket body meet

Chennai: Beleaguered N. Srinivasan chaired a finance committee meeting of the Asian Cricket Council here on Tuesday to pass its annual audited accounts. Srinivasan, who has been sidelined from the Indian cricket board, is the chairman of ACC’s Finance and Marketing Committee and the meeting was also attended by officials from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh. Reports suggest the ACC members expressed their support for Srinivasan, who will be taking over as the chairman of the ICC Executive Board early next month, despite uncertainties over his elevation.
