Hyderabad: Hyderabad cricketers B. Sandeep and G.H. Vihari continued their good shows in the English league, scoring half-centuries for their respective clubs over the weekend. Sandeep’s gutsy 50 helped Bankfoot Cricket Club register a thumping victory over Keighley in a Yorkshire second division league match. Vihari’s 62 went in vain for Hutton CC who lost to Colchester CC in an Essex Division One league game.
Batting at No.4, Sandeep scored a crucial 50 off 76 balls that included five fours and a six to help his side to 118 on a tricky wicket. In reply, Keighley crumbled to 39 all out. Sandeep did his bit with the ball too, returning with figures of 4-2-6-3. In the other match, Vihari’s 58-ball knock took Hutton to 226 but that was not enough to contain the Colchester batsmen.
