Telangana Rashtra Samiti vows rapid growth
Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti has embarked on a confidence building exercise with representatives of industrialists, builders besides other sections, promising a friendly government and a congenial environment for rapid development. As part of the exercise, Sircilla legislator K.T. Rama Rao participated in the Telangana industrialists meet organised by Ravi Prasad Yelishala and another organised by Telangana Builders Federation here on Tuesday.
Mr Rama Rao promised total government support to industrialists and sought suggestions from them. “Hyderabad belongs to all. It’s not the fiefdom of a few. Telangana will be developed rapidly in the next five years with the cooperation of one and all,” said Mr Rama Rao. Taking a dig at Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s claim of developing Hyderabad, Mr Rama Rao said, “Some claim they have developed Hyderabad. Hyderabad was not developed in a day. It has 420 years of cherished history. It was developed over a period of time. Hyderabad has gained national and international fame,” he said.
He reminded that Gujarat developed under the leadership of Narendra Modi when the UPA government was in power at the Centre, indicating that there will be no hindrance to development even if there are rival parties in power. Mr Ravi Prasad submitted a memorandum signed by 90 industrialists to Mr Rama Rao seeking quality power, tax benefits, incentives to attract new investments, early release of subsidies, removal of fuel surcharge, establishment of single-window system for establishment of new industries, common ETPs for 100 to 3,000 acre industrial corridors among other things. Mr Rao promised to take the issue to the notice of CM.
Mr Ram Rao also attended the meet organised by Telangana Builders Federation where the builders sought a congenial environment for the building industry besides availability of raw materials and hassle free clearances among others. With June 2 round the corner, Telugu Desam chief and Andhra Pradesh CM-in-waiting N. Chandrababu Naidu is on an overdrive. The TRS has decided to take up proactive steps to assure all sections of people including industrialists of a friendly government and a congenial environment in the new state.
