No romantic inclinations towards anyone in Bollywood: Alia Bhatt

Mumbai: Alia Bhatt is every bit her father’s — director/producer Mahesh Bhatt — daughter. She made that amply clear with her smart and apt replies to questions that were quite personal in nature. And she’s also been giving smart suggestions for her film’s marketing.

During the first look of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania directed by the debutant Shashank Khaitan, Alia had smart answers for all the questions thrown at her.

When asked about her romantic links with her heroes, Alia replied patiently, “I do not want to say anything about my relationships, romantic or otherwise with my heroes. I know my name has been linked to Siddarth during my first film, now it is being linked with Varun Dhawan, earlier my name was linked with Arjun."

“There is no truth in any of this. I have no romantic inclination towards Siddarth or any of my heroes. I know that my name will definitely be linked to the hero of my tenth film too. So what can I say? Only that there is nothing between us. And there will never be!!”

“There is just one thing that I would tell you guys – romantic films are always entertaining. Tough luck if you are looking for filmy love stories in real life! Just come and unabashedly enjoy the love story in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. It is an out and out romantic tale with a lot of fun moments".

“I love playing romantic characters in films but have no romantic inclinations towards anyone in real life. Definitely not towards anyone in Bollywood. That is something I can assure you about!”

The film’s poster was created with her inputs. Talking about the poster, she says, “I recommended a ‘selfie’ poster while Varun’s idea was to make one with me carrying him in my arms. I am happy they took my suggestion!”
