Mumbai:  The release of Ajay Devgn’s much-awaited film Singham 2 is already garnering a lot of attention from the media and fans alike. But neither Ajay nor his director Rohit Shetty is getting bogged down by the expectations. We hear that the duo is planning to show the film to a certain section of the Mumbai police.

“I want to get a reaction from them. The Singham series is a tribute to the cops. I think it’s only fair to show the first look of the film to those who have been truly inspirational,” says Ajay. Rohit Shetty, who has just wrapped up the film, will personally send out invites to the senior cops. He says, “It was Ajay’s idea. It’s less of a promotional strategy and more to get their honest feedback.”

Despite being confident of his style of film-making, Rohit is under pressure to sustain his box office status and success. During the release of Golmaal 3 and Chennai Express he had taken a backseat and allowed his lead pairs Ajay and Kareena Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone  to endorse their respective films. But after his blockbuster debut on television, Rohit has become a star in his own right. That’s the reason why the filmmaker will be making an appearance during the promotional campaign of Singham 2.
