R. Parthiban impresses crowd with 'Kadhai Thiraikadhai Vasanam Iyakkam' audio launch
'Kadhai Thiraikadhai Vasanam Iyakkam' has Santhosh and Akila as the lead pair
Chennai: Actor-filmmaker-producer Radhakrishnan Parthiban, known for his innovative and quirky approach, worked hard to make the audio launch of his forthcoming film, Kadhai Thiraikadhai Vasanam Iyakkam, an eventful one. The film is produced by Chandra Mohan. The event saw a host of young and veteran filmmakers from Tamil cinema, including Parthiban’s mentor Bhagyaraj, Vikraman, RV Udhayakumar, Cheran, Kayaar, Prakash Raj, Karu Pazhaniappan, Prabhu Solomon, Vetrimaaran, Lingusamy, A. L. Vijay and others gracing the occasion and sharing their great moments with him.
Instead of receiving the guests with a shawl and bouquet, Parthiban’s unique touch was evident in the way he welcomed them. The dais had custom-made wooden chairs, normally used during shooting by directors, for the seating arrangements of celebrities. The chairs will be later sent to the houses of the respective directors who sat on them, Parthiban revealed. Instead of long-winded speeches, the 25 odd filmmakers used the stage for a story discussion session (which was again at the behest of Parthiban) and for the most part, they spoke about KTVI which ironically has the tag line, ‘A film without a story’.
Then it was the actual audio launch that captured everybody’s attention. The first set of CDs was unveiled by a camera which was brought to the stage by an Akela Crane and was received by all the celebs. While Santhosh and Akila play the lead pair, five music directors, namely Sharath, Vijay Antony, Thaman, Sathya and Alphons Joseph have worked on the music for the film.
