Ministers prefer office locations dictated by vaastu
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh CM-in-waiting N. Chandrababu Naidu is not interested in functioning from the South H Block building in the Secretariat that is being readied to accommodate the AP state’s Chief Minister’s Office.
Sources said Mr Naidu was told by astrologers that the vaastu of the building did not match his stars and it would be advisable if he changes his office. As a result, Mr Naidu told his team of officers to look for an alternative building in the Secretariat.
Even Telangana CM-in-waiting K. Chandrasekhar Rao refused to work from the CM camp office at Greenlands and instead, asked for his office to be set up in Kundan Bagh. This was done on the advice of vaastu experts.
Meanwhile, chief commissioner, land administration, I.Y.R. Krishna Rao, who is all set to be appointed as Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, along with a delegation of officers, including roads and buildings principal secretary Sam Bob, and vaastu experts, on Saturday inspected the “L” block building in the Secretariat premises to set up Mr Naidu’s office and peshi.
Plans are being drawn to make suitable changes in the building to accommodate the AP CM’s office in L block. A detailed report to this effect would be placed before Mr Naidu for his final approval, a senior official said.
Mr Krishna Rao has also asked the R&B department officials to stop the upgradation works in South H Block building. The government has already spent crores of rupees to give it a facelift for accommodating Mr Naidu’s office. The works were in progress, but were stopped after Mr Krishna Rao’s orders.
