Mumbai: Anil Kapoor has been in the film industry for a long time now, having acted in many films and even produced a few.
So, when DC caught up with him and quizzed him on how long it would be before he gets tagged as a ‘legend’ in Hindi cinema, he said “I have a long way to go before I can be listed alongside the legends.
“It is not about whether directors or producers are interested in giving me roles, rather it is about whether I am interested in doing a certain role. On an average I get a minimum of three to four film offers in a day. I have to take care to choose films that will suit me. I do understand that at this juncture of my life, roles of a romantic hero or a full-fledged action hero will not suit me.”
He adds, “I am, therefore, being very careful in choosing the right kind of roles for myself. I am happy to have done good roles earlier. At the moment I need to get good as well as memorable roles which will bring me into the category of the ‘legends’.”
