HP launches Slate 7 Plus

An Android quad-core tablet; available at $100

Mumbai: HP has launched a 7-inch Android tablet which features a quad-core processor. The HP Slate 7 Plus, business tablet, is spotted on HP’s US website for just $100 (approx Rs 6,000). Unfortunately, the website presently shows it as out of stock. The Indian HP website, though lists the Slate 7 Plus, does not have it on the online store.

The HP Slate 7 Plus is built using the NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset featuring a quad-core processor along with 1 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 SDRAM, with an 8 GB eMMC storage with a micro SD expansion slot. It’s display’s a 7-inch HD WVA multitouch-enabled, 1280x800 resolution screen.

Slate 7 Plus comes with a 0.3 MP VGA front camera with a fixed-focus, and a 5 MP rear camera with an auto-focus. Along with that, it has accelerometer, eCompass and GPS sensors with an 802.11 b/g/n wireless and Bluetooth 3.0 HS.

The tablet features an Anroid 4.2.2, Jelly Bean operating system, with battery life up to 7 hours 30 minutes and weighs about 342 g.

HP Slate 7 Plus is a powerful yet affordable tablet.
