Chandrababu Naidu, Jagan ask K Chandrasekhar Rao to maintain restraint
Hyderabad: Telugu Desam supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday warned Telangana Chief Minister-in-waiting K. Chandrasekhar Rao not to make provocative statements that can trigger law and order problems in the region.
In a statement issued on Friday night, Mr Naidu condemned the comments made by Mr Rao like “I will not allow Seemandhra employees to work in Telangana Secretariat, prepared for fight if needed”, and said that the TD will support all employees.
Mr Naidu’s statement came minutes after the APNGOs delegation, led by Ashok Babu and others, met him at his residence and brought to his notice the provocative statements made by Mr Rao during a meeting of Telangana Employees on Thursday.
“You have raised passions and emotions in the name of the Telangana movement and got seats and votes. Still you want to drive a wedge amongst employees who need to work as brothers, at a stage when the allotment of employees among the two states is being done as per the directions of the Central government. Without knowing facts and figures and based on wrong information you have made hostile comments against 2employees. Being a Chief Minister you should not make comments that can trigger law and order problems,” Mr Naidu said.
YSR Congress Legislature Party leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy asked Telangana CM-designate K. Chandrasekhara Rao to maintain restraint over the employees issue.
“Political leaders should stop commenting regarding the division of employees as these comments are raising tempers. KCR could make this kind of comments as long as he was leading the movement. But now he is becoming the Chief Minister of Telangana, and it is not good to make comments that can cause tensions. KCR has earlier stated that states should be bifurcated like partition in a family,” said Mr Reddy.
