Shruti Hassan is a thorough professional: Vishal

The beautiful actress has swept Poojai's director-hero off their feet

Chennai: Looks like Shruti Haasan who is back in K’town after a gap with a Vishal starrer, Poojai, directed by Hari, has swept everyone in the unit off their feet, especially the director-hero duo. Hari is canning a few high octane action sequences with Vishal in Coimbatore since the last few days.

Speaking to DC, Vishal says, “Shruti sprang a surprise with her professionalism and it is a treat to watch her perform. We all know the speed with which Hari sir works. Initially, he was apprehensive about how Shruti, accustomed to the Mumbai culture, would adapt to our working style. But much to our astonishment, she adapted fast and we were all happy with the way she handled things.”

On a personal note, Vishal adds, “Shruti is a good friend. She is down-to-earth and we get along well on the sets.”

Poojai is a typical instance of Hari’s style of family entertainment. “I had a kissing scene in my earlier flick, Naan Sigappu Manithan. No more of them, at least it is not required for Poojai’s script,” Vishal points out. However, Hari has used a new approach to the romantic scenes, he adds.

While Radhika Sarath Kumar essays Vishal’s mother, the actor discloses that the women characters — be it Radhika or Shruti — have been given more importance in the film as the story revolves around them.

Though his much awaited Madha Gaja Raja, directed by Sundar C, is still lying in the cans, Vishal lets on that he is teaming up for a new film with Sundar C once more, once that has a huge cast and will be released during Pongal.
