Seize illegal lands: Mohan Babu to KCR

Mohan Babu didn't name anyone while making the allegations

Hyderabad: Outspoken actor Mohan Babu stirred up a hornet’s nest on Wednesday by requesting TRS president and Telangana CM-designate K. Chandrasekhar Rao to seize huge tracts of lands that were illegally occupied by bigwigs in and around Hyderabad and distribute them among the poor.

“In Hyderabad, lands of the poor have been grabbed by bigwigs. I have requested KCR to take over such lands and distribute the same among the poor,” he said after meeting Mr Rao at his Banjara Hills residence.

After greeting Mr Rao for achieving Telangana and for becoming the first Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr Mohan Babu said, “KCR is the only leader who fought for Telangana and achieved it. He was very close to NTR. I wish him all success in his endeavor.”
Mr Mohan Babu, however, did not name any film personality or politician while making the allegations.

Earlier, several top film personalities met and congratulated Mr Rao. Movie Artistes’ Association and Producers’ Council members, including producer director Ramanaidu, K.S. Rama Rao, actors Muralimohan, Venu Madhav, Ashok Kumar, Ali, Jamuna, Babu Mohan and others met KCR at the latter’s residence.

However, some TRS leaders were upset over comedian Venu Madhav meeting Mr Rao since he had ridiculed and made fun of the TRS leaders during the campaign.

Andhra Pradesh Bishop's Council members also met Mr Rao and congratulated him. They requested Mr Rao to include Dr Rajaiah from Warangal in his Cabinet as the representative of the Christian minority and Dalit Madiga.

Most Rev. Udumala Bala, Bishop of Warangal, Most Rev. Govindu Joji, Bishop of Nalgonda, Most Rev. Poola Anthony, Bishop and secretary to Andhra Pradesh Bishop’s Council and Fr U.
