Seemandhra staff should go to residual state of Andhra Pradesh: TRS

‘Non-Telangana employees would not be allowed to work in Telangana state secretariat’

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samiti said that the government employees from Seemandhra should work for the new post-bifurcation residual state of Andhra Pradesh.

The statement of TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is all set to become the first Chief Minister of Telangana, came against the background of the ongoing bifurcation of assets, liabilities and employees between the two states.

June 2 is the 'appointed day' when the new states of Telangana and the residual state of Andhra Pradesh would come into existence.

Amidst allegations that certain employees from Seemandhra (the region comprising Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra) sought to work in Telangana, the TRS president sternly said those from non-Telangana regions would not be allowed to work in the Telangana state secretariat.

He has also announced several benefits to government employees from Telangana region, including a special 'Telangana increment', in the Telangana government.
