Guidelines for Intermediate admissions in Andhra Pradesh
Admission tests conducted by colleges have been scrapped
Hyderabad: The Board of Intermediate Education has directed colleges to conduct admissions based on the GPA (grade point average) and subject-wise GP (grade point) obtained in the qualifying examination as per guidelines. Colleges should not conduct any admission test.
Board members said that strict action will be taken against junior colleges found making admissions on any other basis.
Classes for Inter first and second year will commence from June 4. As much as 33.33 per cent of the total seats have to be reserved for girls.
During admissions, the managements should prominently display at the entrance the number of sections sanctioned by the Board for the academic year 2014-15 and the number of seats filled.
