Jagan Reddy urges Narendra Modi to help develop Andhra Pradesh

Reddy met Modi at Gujarat Bhavan for nearly 45 minutes

New Delhi: YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday led a party delegation to PM-in-waiting Narendra Modi, seeking his support for the development of the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh.

The politically significant meeting came a few days after his arch-rival, the Telugu Desam, threatened to pursue cases against him vigorously.

Accompanied by newly-elected MPs belonging to his party, Mr Reddy met Mr Modi at Gujarat Bhavan for nearly 45 minutes, during which he sought the BJP government’s support for the state of AP and demanded that all promises made by Mr Modi’s predecessor Manmohan Singh on the floor of the Rajya Sabha, be implemented.
