Hyderabad: A 10-year-old girl was killed by a man who was having a sexual affair with her mother at Reddy Colony in Saidabad on Monday. Police said that the killer choked her to death after an argument with her mother. Later, he surrendered to the police.
The accused who is an alcoholic demanded money from the victim’s mother, but when she refused, he killed the child. The victim K. Pushpa, a first standard student was staying with her mother K. Kavitha, 32, who works as a helper at Raju Caterers. The accused Babu, 25, was staying with them.
Kavitha separated from her husband about four years ago. Babu got acquainted with her when she was in Hafeezbaba Nagar. On May 15, Kavitha went to her parents’ house in RR district leaving Babu and Pushpa alone. Babu used to call her and asked her to return as he had no cash to buy liquor but she refused.
“On Monday he asked her to come back. He also threatened to kill Pushpa, but she didn’t take him seriously. Angered by this, he killed Pushpa,” the police said.
