Telugu Desam Party MPs wait for the word from NDA

TDP is also yet to receive a formal communication about his next meeting with Modi

Hyderabad: There is no word yet from the BJP’s top leadership on whether the Union Cabinet will be open to all NDA partners or confined to the BJP, since the party doesn’t need outside support having won a huge majority.

Telugu Desam Party president and AP’s Chief Minister-in-waiting is also yet to receive a formal communication about his next meeting with Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi and BJP leaders to discuss these matters.

There are many TDP MPs who are eager for Central ministerial posts. “We don’t know what is going on in Delhi. It all depends on the BJP Parliamentary Board that is going to sit on May 21 to formally claim formation of the new government. We are also unaware of when the NDA partners’ meeting will be convened for this purpose,” a TDP MP told this correspondent. He said that the Shiv Sena, which is in the Opposition in Maharashtra, will insist that NDA partners join the Cabinet.

Another MP said that in reciprocation, the TDP should accommodate one or two BJP MLAs from Seemandhra in the state Cabinet. “It cannot be a one-sided affair, it should be two way,” he pointed out.
