Samajawadi Party mantris may face heat in Uttar Pradesh
Samajwadi party performed poorly in LS elections
Lucknow: A number of senior ministers in whose constituencies the Samajwadi Party fared poorly could be asked to quit the government and shoulder responsibilities in the party organisation. The young ministers who could not deliver in polls may also not be spared.
“Our priority is to save the party from further decay. We have Assembly bye elections in the coming months. The Assembly polls are less than three years away. Party workers are demoralised and we are not sure if we can win back the LS seat that Mulayam Singh Yadav vacates. The party is ready to let heads roll because it has to be saved,” said a SP leader.
