Manchu Manoj, who is working with director G. Nageswara Reddy for Current Theega, is introducing Sunny Leone to Tollywood.
“Sunny is playing a special role in the film. She is apt for the character and I feel the film will also get noticed because of her presence,” says Manoj, adding that he mentioned that Sunny would be seen in a traditional avatar. “People may expect a lot, but we are showing her in a good way. We also planned a song with her, so that her fans don’t get upset.”
Manoj says that except for a few directors like K. Raghavendra Rao and Chandrasekhar Yeleti, others don’t have any clarity. “Many directors narrate the story impressively, but when it comes to film making, they fail,” he says. Adding further he said that G. Nageswara Reddy is an exception. “He has a different style of film making and is clear about what he wants from the artistes.”
Manoj is one actor who likes to get involved in other aspects of film-making too. However, for Current Theega, he is concentrating solely on acting. “I don’t want to do any extra activities as I did in my earlier films,” he says. Manoj reveals that he is playing a village boy and his character looks rough in the film. Rakul Preet Singh is playing the female lead in the film.
About his future projects, Manoj says that two of his films are still at the script stage. “Presently I am concentrating on Current Theega. We want to complete the shooting by end of July for an August release,” he says. About his marriage plans, he says, “My parents are looking for a suitable match. There’s still time for marriage. Though I would like to have an arranged marriage, but if I come across a good girl in my life then I am open for love marriage too,” adds the actor who will be celebrating his birthday on Tuesday.
