Hyderabad: There’s been a lot of speculation about actor Prabhas in the recent past. This time it’s about him being injured.
The actor is playing the main lead in Baahubali and is believed to have been injured while shooting an action scene. But the unit members, including the director and producer kept it under wraps until recently when Prabhas was seen at his cousin’s wedding with a bandaged arm. The news went viral.
Interestingly, the actor immediately posted a message on his Facebook page. “Hi friends, I underwent a shoulder surgery a month ago. This surgery was supposed to be done a long time ago, but I kept delaying it. The surgery was successfully completed. I will be back in action within a month.”
Then director Rajamouli tweeted: “Prabhas underwent a minor shoulder surgery a month ago. Very successfully managed to keep it a secret (to avoid unnecessary speculation) till now but this marriage couldn’t be avoided. This surgery was long due and we planned it in the summer so the unit, too, can escape the summer heat. He is absolutely fine now and will be back in action in a month.”
Immediately Rajamouli added another tweet: “Oops. He attended his cousin’s marriage. Where he was clicked with his sling. Sorry for the confusion caused.”
However, what many in the film industry wonder is why the director, producer and the actor himself had to be so secretive about the surgery? It gave rise to needless rumours.
