‘I would get beaten up daily’
Tiger Shroff, who is a trained gymnast, has impressed the industry with his ripping muscles and stylish stunts in the promos of his debut film Heropanti, which will hit theatres this week. But the young actor reveals that he has also been on the receiving end of kicks and punches from none other than his own sister Krishna.
Tiger says, “Like all siblings, Krishna and I had a lot of fights too during our growing up years. I was a lanky kid and Krishna was almost 10 times my size. She would beat me up daily. And since she was a daddy’s girl, my father (Jackie Shroff) would always take her side. So I would have to run to my mother for support. She would always manage to cheer me up.” The actor adds with a laugh, “I think that was one of the earliest moments of realisation about the importance of having a good physique.”
But on a serious note, Tiger says, that one of his greatest inspirations was Hrithik Roshan. “Hrithik was an assistant director on the sets of my father’s film King Uncle. I remember he used to carry me in his arms all the time. That time he used to be very thin and lanky. It’s amazing how he transformed himself for his debut film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. And the result was for everyone to see. He was definitely a great inspiration. I met him recently and we reminisced about our King Uncle days. Then he also had some good things to say about my physique and how I transformed my look. It felt nice.”
