Hyderabad: Prime Minister designate Narendra Modi on Saturday thanked actor and Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan for supporting him during his campaigns in the state. Mr Modi tweeted on Saturday morning, “I want to express my gratitude to Pawan Kalyan Garu for his enthusiasm & support through the campaign across Andhra Pradesh.”
Mr Pawan Kalyan was invariably mentioned by Mr Modi in his speeches everywhere in the state. Interestingly, Mr Modi didn’t make any mention of Mr Naidu in any of his tweets since the results were announced on Friday.
Mr Pawan Kalyan also replied to Mr Modi’s tweet through a media statement. He said, “It was graceful of Modiji to mention me. I have great respect for his leadership and have only tried to do my bit.”
He further added, “I am confident that Modiji will lead the nation towards progress and will give the youth of the country hope and direction.”
Mr Pawan Kalyan doesn’t use Twitter.
