A meeting too late?
Hyderabad: Finally, after two days of deliberations and delays, NTR Jr finally met the very victorious Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu.
The meeting on Sunday comes as Mr Naidu celebrates the first good news he’s had in 10 years. But sources have revealed the much delayed meet and greet between Jr NTR and Mr Naidu is now rather pointless, especially because it has been two days since the election results.
Jr NTR was accompanied by his brother Nandamuri Kalyanram during the visit to the TD supremo’s office.
“The actor and his father have been having long discussions over this issue — to meet Naidu or just stay quiet. But finally, family and friends convinced the actor and urged him to go ahead with the meeting, so that ties don’t collapse any further,” a source revealed.
Mr Naidu’s sweeping win and the veteran politician’s alliance with newfound favourite Pawan Kalyan has put Jr NTR in a rather uncomfortable corner.
Tollywood, for all you know, relies heavily on a firm and loyal fan base and the Nandamuri scion’s confused approach to the polls certainly hasn’t earned him many friends. Then there’s the Balakrishna angle.
“It’s just too late for Jr NTR to mend ties,” reveals a source close to Balakrishna. “First, he chose to stay away from TD’s political campaign and now, his arrival two days later reeks of a ‘formality visit’. He should have been there on Friday itself.”
