Actor-turned-politician Vinod Khanna was leading over Punjab Congress President Partap Singh Bajwa from Gurdaspur Lok Sabha constituency in Punjab. Bajwa was trailing by 9,979 votes.- Bengali actor, Tapas Pal won in Krishnanagar. He defeated Satyabrata in the same.
