Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi here on Friday said that he was going to tender his resignation to the Congress president Sonia Gandhi owning full responsibility of electoral defeat in Assam. Contrary to what he had said earlier, the BJP won seven out of 14 seats in Assam.
“I take full responsibility. We are going to accept the people’s mandate with all humility. I am going to tender my resignation ,” he said.
