Amarinder Singh seeks cooperation from BJP’s Arun Jaitley, AAP’s Daljeet Singh
Amritsar: Senior Congress leader Amarinder Singh, who defeated BJP's Arun Jaitley and AAP's Daljeet Singh from Amritsar Lok Sabha seat on Saturday sought their cooperation to serve the people in a better way. The former chief minister hoped that all of them will be working together for the betterment of Amritsar and Punjab. Thanking Jaitley for his congratulatory message on his win, Amarinder wished him a prosperous and successful political career and a better role in the new government.
"I am thankful to Mr Jaitley for his good wishes and I wish him a bright future and a good role in the BJP government that is being formed at the Centre," he said. He hoped that with BJP having come to power at the Centre, Jaitely will be able to help in solving various problems related to Amritsar as well as Punjab. The Congress leader assured as an MP full support and cooperation for anything that is aimed at the welfare of Amritsar and Punjab.
Also thanking the Aam Aadmi Party candidate Dr Daljeet Singh, who had sent him a message, Amarinder prayed for his long life. He said, Dr Singh has really made immense contribution towards the well being of people in Amritsar and hoped that he will continue to do so.
Amarinder said, since the welfare of Amritsar and Punjab and the well being of people here was the priority of everyone who contested, he would be expecting each one of them to work together in close cooperation to serve the people in a better way.
