In the crowd of 60,000, I saw one face smiling at me: Ranveer Singh
Mumbai: Ranveer Singh, known to have a very energetic personality, considers Govinda and Anil Kapoor as his idols. In fact, the actor will be sharing screen space with Govinda in Shaad Ali’s ‘Kill Dill’ produced by Yash Raj Films and with Anil Kapoor in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ by Excel Entertainment. For Zoya’s film, the actor has left for a 2 month long schedule on a cruise liner.
Talking about Anil and Govinda, Ranveer was quoted in Mumbai Mirror saying, “I feel privileged to be working with two of my idols, Govinda and Anil Kapoor in back-to-back films. I was born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s. I come from a non-filmy background and these guys were the reason I became an actor. To be sharing screen space with them is such an honour.”
Recently, at an award function, the actor, despite being under the weather stuck to his commitment and performed on stage. He saw one face in the crowd that helped him sail through. He said, “When I entered the stadium on a bike I was running a high fever and feeling really low, physically. Then I stepped on stage and turned to face the audience. And in the crowd of 60,000 I saw one face smiling at me, and that was Govinda's. It infused me with a crazy spiritual energy and I danced only for him. And then pulled him up on stage. He did the hook step 'Tune Maari Entriyaan' and 'Tattad Tattad' and my day was made.”
