Mangalore: A senior Congress party worker was killed in a hit-and-run accident at Baikampady near here early on Thursday, police said.
Gangadhar Pangala (55) was returning from Muloor near here by his two-wheeler when an unidentified vehicle hit him and sped away. He died on the spot, they said.
Also a social activist, Pangala belonged to the Mogaveera community and worked for welfare of the community.
He is survived by wife and five daughters.
