Six employees injured in 'hot water spillage' at Kudankulam Nuclear Plant
The Indo-Russian joint venture is facing opposition from locals on safety concerns
Kudankulam: Six employees at the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant sustained injuries on Wednesday following 'hot water spillage'.
"There was a small incident. Some maintenance work was going on when there was hot water spillage. Three of our employees and three contract workers suffered injuries," KKNPP Director R S Sundar told PTI.
The injured were administered first aid and later admitted to hospital, he said, adding, there was "nothing to worry" about today's incident.
The Indo-Russian joint venture has been facing opposition from locals on safety concerns even as the anti-nuke protests crossed the 1000-day mark recently.
