Apple to launch 8GB version of iPhone 5C in India
Mumbai: Well, losing out on the market share in India could be one reason to release cheaper phones in India and Blackberry is not the only one. Apple seems to be bothered about the same and has announced a lower storage version of the iPhone 5C for the Indian market.
However, the iPhone 5C 8GB, which is reportedly priced between Rs 36,000 and Rs 37,000 (as per the Times of India) is not really cheap. In fact the iPhone 5C 16GB versions are retailing between Rs 35,000 and Rs 38,000, so why would anyone opt for an 8GB version in the same price range?
One should expect the 8GB variant to retail anywhere between Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000, given the average differences in storage variants between the iPhone smartphones. We still need official confirmation from the manufacturer about the price of the 8GB variant. Stay tuned.
