New Delhi: Freight rates for nine-tonne payload section for select destination improved by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today after the hike in diesel prices. Transporters raised freights for select centres after diesel rates were raised by over Rupee one.
Capital to Kochi, Baroda and Surat rates hardened by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 78,000, Rs 28,000 and Rs 30,000. Rates to Goa, Guwahati and Gwalior also moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 58,000, Rs 56,000 and Rs 16,000.
