I will cut tongues of critics, says TRS's Harish Rao
Hyderabad: TRS leader T. Harish Rao on Sunday refuted allegations levelled against him by the Congress and Telugu Desam leaders accusing him of plotting a coup and engineering major defections from the party.
In a strongly worded statement, Mr Harish Rao warned his critics to stop maligning him or he will slit their tongues. Attacking the Telugu Desam as being party which has a history of backstabbing, Mr Harish Rao said it was unbecoming of the Congress and Telugu Desam leaders to talk in such a derogatory manner against him and attribute motives.
“I am warning you for the first and last time, that if you don’t stop talking ill against me, I will slit your tongues and you will be responsible for all untoward incidents that may follow,” Mr Harish Rao said in his statement.
He said it is a writing on the wall that Telangana Rashtra Samiti, under the leadership of K. Chandrasekhar Rao, will form the government in Telangana state.
Congress president Ponnala Lakshmaiah and TD leaders are afraid of being routed in the elections and that is the reason why they are resorting to mudslinging and allegations against him.
He said Ponnala Lakshmaiah has already proved to be a failure as a president and it will be vindicated after results are declared on May 16.
