Hyderabad: Even before counting of votes for general election held in the state takes place on May 16, the results of municipal elections held earlier would be announced in the state on Monday.
The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission (SEC) has made arrangements for counting of votes for municipal bodies on Monday, followed by Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs) and Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTCs) on May 13. Counting of votes will begin at 8 am.
The much-delayed MPTC and ZPTC elections were held ahead of general elections (in April), but the counting would be taken up this week owing to legal issues.
