Hyderabad: Fresh trouble is brewing for former housing minister and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy.
Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan has ordered a vigilance department probe into allegations that on Mr Reddy’s recommendation, the housing department gave two jobs to K. Praveen Kumar, joint managing director of AP Rajiv Swagruha Corporation Limited, as well as additional CEO of Deccan Infrastructure and Landholdings Limited (DILL), run by the government.
Mr Kumar, who held both jobs simultaneously, draws a salary of Rs 1 lakh for each post.
Sources in the housing department said that the vigilance sleuths have in their possession the files pertaining to the appointment of Mr Kumar, which reveal that the minister recommended both the appointments.
